The exhibition displays, in chronological order from the Middle Ages to the 18th century, an overview of wooden sculpture from museum, churches and monasteries of Ticino. The installation tries to emphasize the polychromy of the works on show by covering the floors with black carpets and painting the walls in black. The supports of the statues have been painted in watercolours (the colours mark the different exhibition rooms) and are used for evoking the sacred fittings.
